Surface finish OK. Looks like a medium strength cold press. However, I was quite disappointed that they didn't stay flat even with a light wash. After drying, they do not flatten out like some types of paper. The tendency to bulge is so strong that the tape ripped off when I put it on. When stretching and moistening the tape, I only use high quality paper. I've had better luck with £300 papers like Arches, Fabriano and especially Stonehenge because they stayed flat on the Plein easel.
