Works! After searching and searching and reading all the reviews I decided to try this first to avoid the disgusting hassle of changing the ring. I'm so glad I did! After just one application, no more flow and no more smell! I followed the advice in the comments; I cleaned it thoroughly, aired it, applied it and let it "take effect" for a few days. Cleaned it up and haven't had any problems since! Fuuu! As suggested in the comments, it only took an ounce or two to cover the flange/gasket. So this bottle should last us a long time!Very, very satisfied!
