Appears to be of good quality

First review. I will check if anything changes. I haven't really used it other than hooking it up to the hitch to see how well it goes up and down and pushing the boat around a bit while on the jack to see how well it rolls. I bought this jack to replace a 7 year old Fulton jack that was so badly rusted that I thought it would be best to replace it soon. It still worked normally but the spring holding the stop pin was operational (heavily rusted) as were the other parts of the clutch. 7 years is not bad (we live on the Florida coast and use a boat in the salt water). I hope to get close with this one for many years to come. Time will tell but they will all rust unless you buy a very expensive Fulton aluminum hitch. The old hitch was attached to the trailer with 4 thru bolts (brackets like those supplied with this hitch were not used). I was hoping that the bolt holes for this (other manufacturer's) hitch would coincidentally match the bolt holes used in the Fulton so I could just install it the same way (bolt through the frame). They did. Made for easy installation but if I had to use brackets it would be just as easy. The jack works fine. It seems well built, sturdy, easy to get on and off, and rolls very easily (this may be because the wheel is brand new/smooth - it may or may not roll as easily when the wheel gets rough). highlighted.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old
