I have this phone and it has been working for 6 months with no problems. Has anyone already tried DECT? Maybe I'll ditch the AT&T landline in the future. Update The phone was still working, but after a year of warranty, the speaker on the base behaved like it was somehow broken. The double bell works and the sound is no longer clear. I have emailed ATT for a possible solution. (No reply) to my email. I tried looking into the base to see if I could install another speaker. Not exactly a repairable device. We've never had any problems with portable devices. I found noise in the background and thought it was a phone. I got my old wired ATT phone and called and listened (same static). I called my telephone service (ATT) and told them about my problem and she could hear it from her end, strange no one else could. ATT sent a technician and switched the line of our house to another line to the main switch box which is down our street. that solve the problem. Now the sound is much clearer and free from interference. I bought another phone and now I have 4 holders and a base. I had to detach the old wearables from the old base and then plug them into the new base.
