Painful Disappointment

The photos I've added show the packaging and labeling of the multicolored fingertips. Otherwise, other photos show the pink crib and its excess fabric turned inside out. The gray crib is a cut resistant crib which I highly recommend instead. I'll start with the positive. The only positive thing I can say about these cribs is that they BREATHE unlike gel or silicone cribs! Because they are made of cotton, air can flow in and out naturally. They can also be washed and reused. This is where the positive emotions end for me. I recently stopped having two fully bandaged fingers and can now move them after cutting off the tips of both fingers in a kitchen accident. I needed something to add an extra layer of protection to the basic band aids I currently use. Unfortunately, these fingertips don't live up to expectations, both literally and figuratively. Longitudinally, they sit just below the second joint, so they slide up every time I flex my fingers. Second, while width has been fine for me most of the time (let me clarify this by explaining that I'm a grown woman with a four and a half ring on my ring finger - very small), as they stretch, they will probably be quite comfortable for most people, and even for me by the end of the day of wearing my little wrapped fingers were swollen to a point where it was uncomfortable. The absolute worst part of constructing these fingertips is their construction...the actual sewing; There is a seam running along one side and across the top with a lot of scraps of fabric inside. To even try to make them wearable I had to turn them over and cut off the excess. When turned back, however, the suture dug right into the wounds. If you don't want to cut off the excess and don't mind the murphy beds looking a little odd, flip them over and wear them that way - straight on the smooth seams without adding bulk. I tried this and it definitely felt more comfortable, but the edges caught on everything from drawers to zippers. If you use them to avoid biting or picking your nails, they are perfect. If you need them for wound care, I offer cut-resistant fingertips designed for the kitchen and other work with sharp instruments. They have no seams on the inside and when comparing different sellers the sizes vary (2.2" vs. 2.8"), the larger the size the more it covers the entire finger. Also, they're thicker and provide a better barrier against something bumping into a finger/wound, and they don't ride up as much. Finally, I would like to make one last comment. This particular list of these fingertips suggests that their common uses include administering anal medicine (or, where we're from, suppositories); Under no circumstances may they be used for this purpose! I will only start and end with the fact that the cribs are made of porous COTTON - neither a finger from contamination nor a body from infection by a finger and/or crib. I strongly recommend the seller to remove this terribly misleading and dangerous information as soon as possible!
