I bought this MP. A SIGA microfiber mop for use on bathroom tiles instead of the wet Swiffer mop I used previously. I figured the bar grip would be stronger and that the attached cleaning pads would be better at penetrating the grout between large tiles, rather than just gliding across the tile surface like the slick Swiffer pads do. But now that I've had it for a while, I've found that it also goes well with our rough-surfaced slate floor in the kitchen, as well as our hardwood floors throughout much of the house. I've even used it (with the plush side of the fabric) to apply a special hardwood floor restorer to our hardwood floors. As expected, the stainless steel swivel bar is significantly stronger and less wobbly than my old Swiffer mop. There is a telescopic mechanism in the middle of the pole. You simply unscrew the bottom of the mechanism, twist the handle in or out to your desired length, and then twist the bottom mechanism again to lock. There is a plastic handle with a loop for hanging. Washable and reusable cleaning wipes work well. The blue side of microfiber is suitable for both wet cleaning and dry mopping as microfiber attracts dust and small particles. The opposite side of the cloth is a beige plush that I used to apply polish or wood restoration products to wooden floors. The cleaning cloths slide easily in and out of the squeegee plate and machine wash/dry well. The only thing that bothers me is that the cleaning cloths come out of the ends of the mop plate. While it's nice for the cleaning pads to pop out a bit so as not to scratch the surface of the baseboard or furniture, I think they pull out too far as it's difficult to apply cleaning pressure to the edges when wiping along the Wall. I actually found the small included dirt removal tool handy when mopping particularly dirty floors (I have a very large dog who often walks through the dirt in our aptly named hallway/washing area). Although I often just rinse the cleaning pads in the sink, sometimes it's more convenient to dip the mop head in a bucket of hot water and detergent. When I do this, the dirt removal tool allows me to scrape or almost "wipe" the dirty water off the mop before touching the floor with it again.
