Not suitable for brewing kombucha

I bought these bottles exclusively for brewing kombucha. Unfortunately, the closures are leaky, so my kombucha was always pretty flat after the 2nd fermentation. The problem is that the lid doesn't fit tightly, so the kombucha loses all of its carbonation. On the plus side, the bottles are very strong and beautiful (slightly square) and the customer service has been fantastic. I had one of my 6 cracked bottles and they refunded me immediately. If you're not using kombucha bottles, they're great for other uses.
