It is said that this comforter has baffle box design which does NOT allow "migration" of the down fill. I just got this and low and behold EVERY BOX has an openings of about 2" which in fact will allow the feathers to move. I bought a comforter a few years ago with this same design and didn't know it. I thought because it was made with an even amout of feathers in each box that that would keep it nice and even. Now all the feathers are on the edges and NOTHING in the center. And just try to get the feathers back into each box evenly. It won't happen! You can shake and shake and shake, and it's an endless task to get the feathers back into place! So why do the manufactures design them this way. so you can adujust them if they are too warm or cool. ya right! The say baffle box design to make you think the feathers will stay put and evenly placed. then you'll end up with a situation like I have. a useless comforter that you will then have to replace! Not cool at all! If I have a comforter that's too warm in the summer, then I will just get a lighter one for the summer. I'd much rather change comforters from hotter to cooler seasons and have a nice flat bed when made, rather than a comforter with tons of feathers on the edges and what amounts to two sheets in the middle! The sellers discription in totally incorrect! Unless baffle box is a design with a 2 inch opening in every box! However, if that's the case they should't say otherwise.PHOTO: With in 2 minutes of shaking i was able to compleatly empty out one of the boxes. Also you can see that at the bottom right of every box is open and feathers and passing through.
