This score applies to both customer service (or lack thereof) and the speaker. I bought it a little over a year ago and I am very happy with it. I wanted an outdoor speaker that has a nice loud sound and does the job perfectly. However, after about 10 months I could no longer charge it. When plugging in the charging cable, I noticed that the charging light was blinking, but not always lit. It stayed on a couple of times, but the device still wouldn't charge. It doesn't even turn on anymore. Before my warranty expired (12 month warranty), I emailed Creative. No answer, no confirmation, nothing. I thought "too much for this" but later tried again just after the 12 month warranty expired and I received immediate confirmation that they would get back to me within 24-48 hours. I waited almost 2 weeks and no response. Finally I took the last picture and decided to chat with them online. Bottom line, it's exceeded its 12-month warranty period. Yes, they ignored my request when it was still under warranty and then happily told me there was nothing they could do after I finally contacted someone later when the 12 months were up. How convenient! They said they would be happy to help if I could find a confirmation of my original email when it was under warranty which I almost certainly deleted somewhere. It was only $49.99 back then, so I figured it would be better to spend my time looking for speakers from other brands. I've been a fan of Creative Labs speakers my whole life, but I think I have to move on. The speaker itself, when working, was great for what I needed. Unfortunately, this didn't last long.
