Fits perfectly! Spare parts

This thermostat is very easy to install. People think we have a lot of money since we inherited a 2000 Mercedes Benz, but I assure you we don't. I find installation videos and they are usually harder than videos but this was actually easier. All you need for this year's car is a thermostat (which comes with a gasket), an E10 torx socket (female) and a 7mm socket to remove the upper radiator hose. The thermostat only holds 2 screws. I was able to bypass the serpentine belt and pulley with a short ratchet extension. I didn't drain all of the antifreeze, I just disconnected the top tube and drained it into a trap. The part fit perfectly and I used a ratchet to slowly tighten the case evenly on each side. With parts from Revain I can repair my car like a little woman.

Pros
  • This simplifies the construction as the water outlet parts act as a thermostat flange
Cons
  • Requires a socket
