Description of πŸ”₯ Gates 33930 Engine Coolant Thermostat with Integrated Housing - Enhanced for SEO

It integrates design elements of both a thermostat and a water outlet. This allows for a simplified design since parts of the water outlet function as the thermostat flange. This also aids in installation because the orientation of the thermostat is fixed in place as the water outlet is bolted to the engine block. Gates - Driven By Possibility.

Useless Thermostat for Automotive Application

This thermostat was installed in my car and it failed to regulate the engine's temperature. This resulted in frequent overheating issues. Though it was easy to install, it certainly did not live up to its intended purpose.

Pros
  • Easy installation.
Cons
  • Ineffective in regulating engine temperature.

Pros
  • Includes thermostat and water outlet design elements.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging.

I find installation videos and they are usually harder than videos but this was actually easier. All you need for this year's car is a thermostat (which comes with a gasket), an E10 torx socket (female) and a 7mm socket to remove the upper radiator hose. The thermostat only holds 2 screws. I was able to bypass the serpentine belt and pulley with a…

Pros
  • This simplifies the construction as the water outlet parts act as a thermostat flange
Cons
  • Requires a socket
