Review on Monoprice 121972 DisplayPort 1.2 MST Hub, 2-Port DP Multi-Stream Transport, DP to DP, Black, 7.6 x 5.8 x 1.3 by Brent Ayyagari

I knew it was a gamble. Here is my configuration: I have two GTX1080 in SLI mode with 3 equal sized screens (for 3D viewing) and a projector. Thus 4 displays are connected. I thought that with 2 graphics cards I could get up to 8 displays, but not quite, when connecting cards a maximum of 4 displays. Also, I wanted to use an Oculus Rift S, so I figured this MST displayport might help, but it doesn't. When I plugged the Oculus into one of my DP screens, it still only saw one. So I returned it for a refund and that was it. Of course I could just remove the SLI adapter and get my real 8 screens, but then I lose the benefits of SLI. I don't want to upset this product because I was wrong. I'm just sharing my experience in case other people have the same idea as me. This allows you to duplicate and cover screens, but you cannot use your Oculus Rift S with a regular screen. Conclusion: 3 stars.
