Pros: This toaster looks great in brushed stainless steel. The main functions work as they should. The lighter darker control seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. Not so good: This toaster also has 2 additional functions: BAGEL which, as explained in the instructions, "allows you to toast bread, bagels and muffins on only one side (the inside). ) while the other (outside) stays warm" and DEFROST, which is not explained anywhere in the accompanying literature. When testing these functions, none of them do anything other than turn on the blue LED. The BAGEL function continues to activate all heating elements throughout the heating cycle (as shown in my drawing). The DEFROST function does not switch any elements on or off and does not change anything compared to the basic function. It also seems that the toaster doesn't lift the slice of bread as high as it would like to remove it after toasting. You can raise the limiter a bit, but that's still not enough. Verdict: It's good for basic toasting, but doesn't offer much more (unless you like blue LEDs). If you're looking for a toaster with extra features, keep looking.
