I needed an option for storing rolls of fabric and I used this shelf for that. It turned out great! I simply eliminated two tiers of panels, so instead of 12 12" high shelves I had 6 24" high shelves. My bolts of fabric fit perfectly into the cutouts and I loved being able to have tall, narrow cutouts. I tried using a bookshelf for this because the height of the shelf could be adjusted, but it didn't have room for narrower sections inside the unit so the screws wouldn't stay upright. It worked great! I also really like that I can order and add another one if the connection hardware allows it. So if I need taller, narrower cabinets in the future, or want to add shorter cabinets, I can do that. It was also easy to assemble. I am very happy with this unit.
