Totally useless product especially for what it is advertised as

These sheets were purchased to keep the small 2" x 1" makeup modules from moving into the larger compartment. The idea was to attach a magnetic plate to the tray, attach 1/4" thin metal washers to the modules, which would then prevent them from moving but allow them to be positioned and swapped out if needed. Think first mind that there are no instructions. with this product. I did a forensic examination of folding scissors to figure out how to open them. The use of the magnetic sheets themselves is another issue that I will address a bit. The side of the Foils so they can be cut.The backing is a vinyl type material so couldn't be marked with a pencil or pen.I then used a permanent marker and even then it was a problem to mark. After getting the dimensions tried I cut it out with a metal ruler and utility. Again, the slick backing material proved a hindrance, since the ruler kept slipping and it was difficult to keep the line. I ended up trimming it, pressing down with almost all my weight to keep the ruler in place. The liner was pulled out and the sheet was placed in the tray. Glue is good for this. I attached the washer to one of the modules with double-sided tape and placed it in the tray, it immediately slipped off. There was absolutely no sticking to the magnetic sheet. Thinking the washing machine was the problem, I tried a small magnet removed from a shower curtain. The puck immediately stuck to this magnet. I quickly found that metal of any kind would not adhere to these sheets. I was about to throw everything away when I noticed how the sheets reacted with other sheets in the pack and experimented with their pieces. Magnetic sheets are attracted to themselves, but there is a caveat. The orientation of the magnet between the two parts must be defined. In one orientation they stick. However, rotate one of the pieces 90 degrees and you can try gluing the two pieces of wax paper together. Even with proper orientation, don't expect anything heavier than a sheet of lightweight paper to stick to a vertical surface. .Based on my experience and experimentation with this product, it is of such limited use that it is actually completely useless.
