Soak longer than stated!

I assumed that those who left bad reviews just didn't follow the instructions but after a few days I think it failed! After a long soak, I wore booties (covered with socks) for 2 hours, avoided lotion, and re-soaked my feet for 20 minutes each day. On day 5 I mentally wrote a bad review and even filled a basin to soak again because nothing happened. I decided to keep my feet in the water until I couldn't take it anymore and after about an hour I noticed my thighs were peeling a bit. Encouraged, I continued for another half hour, and then the magic began. Your skin isn't going to lift in the sheet like the ad/photo would have you believe, so adjust that expectation. It's more like you're peeling off a sunburn — the patches loosen and fall off in patches until those little patches merge together. You can help yourself by lightly rubbing the loose skin with your hands/nails. The yellowed patches of hardened skin are gone, and although the soles of my feet are still scaly, they are pink and soft. I've never seen her like this as an adult! I use a foot file and pumice stone regularly and I can tell you it doesn't compare to what Summer Foot can do. The bottom line is that soaking is crucial to the process, and the instructions don't emphasize that enough. If you don't see a difference, let it soak longer. That will work!
