We hung these 'grape' lamps on our wide kitchen window which sits over the sink and overlooks our garden. We loved the way our Christmas lights looked in the area so much that I really wanted them to shine all year round - but I didn't want them to look like Christmas decorations. Our home is decorated in a Mediterranean style and these wine lamps were perfect. The price is great too! We thought about hanging bistro lamps around this window but they were a lot more expensive so we decided to try them first. I hope these LED lights last a long time (I will post an update in 6 months and let you know!). They have a long outlet, so the distance from the wall to it should be at least 4 inches. We have a plug behind our microwave and luckily there was enough room to move the microwave a little farther from the wall to accommodate the plug. . I like that the branches of the vine are wiry and flexible. I am also very pleased that the color of these LED bulbs is much nicer than most other "warm" LED bulbs. They are NOT that greenish yellow or lemon yellow. Hue. These lights are warm "ivory" with hints of peach. Very pretty! If you're looking for a bright "cold" white or "pure white" (with no undertone of any other tone), these aren't for you. The little "balls" (these are placed above each LED) may look "pure white," but when illuminated they take on this soft, peachy white tone. These lights add atmosphere, but they DO NOT really add much light to a room unless they are lit. At night, when all the other kitchen lights are off, these tendril garlands create the perfect "mood". light" for entertainment, but if you want to cook in the kitchen you definitely need another light source. I LOVE these!
