I have two kits from Cablemod and one (the last kits in carbon I ordered directly from the Cablemods website). I found that the SATA cable was connected incorrectly. SATA measured 3V and 7V instead of 12V. I rearranged the pins on the CPU connector to match the correct pins and now they measure 5V and 12V as they should. Incorrect wires can lead to catastrophic component failure. I'm having an issue with my PC overheating as I'm using SATA to power my D5 water cooling pump. I have Thermaltake Dr. Power II as I don't trust any of their cables. I also ordered a PSU ATX Pin Removal Tool Kit so I can fix any other issues I'm finding with the cables. The cables are otherwise good, but miswiring is a big problem. And can cause a nightmare of problems and component damage. Here is Cablemod's answer. Unplug cables including PSU compatibility testing to ensure everything is plug and play.
