Once you master the simple touch-and-tap function, lighting becomes child's play. We use it in our daughter's room as a bright reading light in her reading corner; at the sewing table for extra lighting (I love different shades of white when sewing); fun colored lighting for kids while playing games or watching movies; etc. I think it would be perfect for RV or travel/hotel use! The bottom has a grippy surface to keep it in place. And the USB connector is easy to remember with a cable. The only thing I'm missing are the plugs - we have extra ones, that's not a problem, but the light only works if you plug the supplied cord into an outlet (not included). (This probably helps keep the price down.)
