I bought this for my wife to put her 27 inch monitor in front of her desk as her eyesight has deteriorated after a stroke. It was several times more expensive than the wall stand it replaced, but it was worth it. It's REALLY solid and the tension adjustment in the arm is amazing. The center screws in the bracket didn't line up with the stud next to the window frame so I took it to my home drill and drilled other holes that are off center and installed it that way - no problem wall mounts for a lot less than that. BUT once you get it and use it, you'll understand why it's worth the extra money.
