Review on ViewSonic VX3211 2K MHD: Widescreen Display with Built-In Speakers, Blue Light Filter, Anti-Glare Coating, and Flicker-Free Technology by Gregory Bragg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a GREAT high resolution ultra wide monitor for those on a budget.

This monitor is huge (32 inch diagonal) and looks great. 1440p is the ideal resolution for a monitor this size (I made the mistake of buying the 1080p version earlier and it looked awful). same size as my previous monitor (1080p @ 27") but much larger screen area. Just a reminder, make sure your laptop supports 2560 x 1440 resolution (check the specs to see which port what resolution does it support, mine only supports DisplayPort 1440p) and make sure you have the correct cables (you may need a new HDMI cable if you have a really old one) If you are running this monitor at 1080p, sees everything looks really blocky and bloated so I recommend just getting a monitor with a smaller screen size if that's your plan and if you still want to use a screen that size and at 1080p then buy the 1080p version of this one Monitors that are $50 less You can switch between inputs The buttons are on the back of the monitor and the labels are on the one in front and I keep hitting the wrong button, it takes about five or six inputs to toggle button presses, and each button press is a separate button. If you don't change inputs often, you won't have any problems with it. I switch between two computers very often, so I bought a DisplayPort switcher. 2) I wish they had removed the unnecessary VGA input (VGA only supports 1080p so if you need to use a VGA cable with this monitor you will need to purchase the 1080p version of the monitor which is $50 cheaper) and add an additional DisplayPort input.

Pros
  • A large screen monitor that suits advertising.
Cons
  • You would think that with a product like ViewSonic they have speakers that you can actually hear.
