Review on Continental ContiVikingContact 7 205/55 R16 94T winter by Adam Dziarnowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I bought tires in October 2022. The tires themselves were made in early 2022 in Germany. Installed on new alloy wheels. Weights on one wheel 10-20, on others up to 30 grams. Experience of using 2 weeks on dry pavement with temperatures from -3 to +10. When I put it on the car, I thought that there was already ice under the wheels, although it was +10 on the street and dry asphalt. Apparently, the rubber is treated with something for storage. This oil (preservative) was wiped off in about 50-60 km, after which the car began to steer well. Such moments must be taken into account when running in new rubber. It's scary to think if you go out on ice on rubber in a preservative. When turning the steering wheel, there are, of course, small hitches, but the feeling is almost like from summer tires. At the same time, the rubber is very soft (although it may have seemed so after the MICHELIN Primacy HP summer tires). It feels like a soft carpet has been spread under the car. There is no noise from rubber, although Shumka on the car, to put it mildly, is not very good. True, sometimes asphalt comes across, on which it begins to make noise and transmit vibrations to the body. At the same time, in appearance, the asphalt is quite smooth. I had to brake sharply in front of the pit. On dry asphalt, the braking qualities are excellent - the car does not drive, does not pull, the rubber does not float. Until there was snow and ice. I will add a review as experience.

Pros
  • Handles well, almost like summer tires Excellent braking qualities Almost no noise (there is noise from certain asphalt, although the asphalt looked smooth)
Cons
  • Until I discovered
