Review on Empava Electric Stove Induction Cooktop - 2 Burners Vitro Ceramic Glass in Black with Smooth Surface - 120V, 12 Inch by Brett Blazis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the induction cooker I've been waiting for!

I started looking into induction cooktops a few years ago and was hooked on the technology. (theinductionsite.com has a lot of good information) I came across some used commercial Cooktek units on Craigslist at great prices and bought them to see if I really enjoyed cooking with them. All I can say is WOW I will never cook on anything else including the 48 inch Viking oven I got rid of! ordinary glass surface. I was looking for a 36" cooktop at a GOOD price and with the right burner configuration for my style of cooking. I was already looking at the 36" Empava when Revain offered the Empava IDCF9. God, the perfect setup! If you look at my photos you can see I can use everything from my smallest skillet and pot to to my largest skillet, two 22 liter Tramontina pans (or 16 or 12 liter pans) and two of my Fagor 10 liter pressure cans, to my 16 inch cast iron flat bottomed wok from The Wok Shop and lest I forget my two Lodge Cast Iron Reversible Pan/Grills 16 3/4 x 9 1/2 on 2 Bridge Burners!Absolutely ONLY negative I can think of is that the controls are a little touchy at times and I have to press them more than once but I was always able to get the setting I wanted. For me, with all the benefits of this oven, that's not a problem. I'm completely happy and satisfied with it and hope Empava will use this burner configuration (IDCF9) FOR ALWAYS further will make if I ever need another! And by the way, for the person who left a 2 star review because YOU didn't do any research, that's really unfair to the cooktop OR the company! I say THANK YOU EMPAWA!
