These types of products always seem patchy, but this is actually a use case that Fuji seems to have planned. You get a laptop-style power adapter and a barrel-shaped dummy battery. My camera has a rubber plug to let the cable out but keep the battery compartment closed. It all seems very safe and official. On the display, the battery indicator has moved too far, confirming the fact that you have UNLIMITED PERMISSIONS. I originally bought it for use with webcam software, but I suspect this power supply will have a long and useful life as a handy tool for stationary use.
