Bulbs were purchased for the lighting unit of the ceiling fan (the fan is rarely used). Of the three lamps installed, the first died after 15 months. Warranty 2 years, but contacts are not specified. Unscrewing the bulb to replace it resulted in part of the bulb coming loose from the base as the plastic became brittle from the heat (or over-tightening is to blame). Requires needle nose pliers to remove and a vacuum to remove broken plastic parts later. For lighting a limited space, however, this is pretty much the only game in town after the ban on incandescent bulbs, so I just re-ordered another set and scouted for new ceiling fan options in the future.
