PRO: Absorbs moisture but not very much. It was incredibly easy to install, but I was pretty sloppy with the water and drain lines. CONS: (1) I chose this option because it looked light gray in the photo but is actually a very dark gray. Like the others. (2) It's very, very, very thin, about the thickness of a cheap mouse pad, if not thinner. I washed the rest of the item on a gentle cycle in a mesh delicates bag and it didn't survive. (3) Before washing, I soaked the test area with water. An 18-inch square held only 7 ounces of water before becoming useless as an absorbent. CONCLUSION: If you want to install this type of item, choose another option. I would return it, but after all the work of taking everything out of the closet, installing it, and then rearranging everything, it really isn't worth my time.
