update: in 2 weeks I will buy this lock 5 years ago. Still going strong. A bit bulky in my saddlebags but worth it when I'm on the road and want to make sure my bike will still be there the next day. Original rating: Great deterrent. Quite noisy but wish it was louder. I use a motorcycle wheel lock, then wrap the TRIMAX around the fork and wrap tightly around the handlebars. I work the night shift at a gas station; The troubled motel is walking distance so I wanted something to be heard if someone tried to pick the wheel lock to take my bike. I park it in sight but we are very busy. If someone tries to do something, the alarm will be loud enough to draw the attention of those already outside. I'm sure I can hear it in the store when I'm at the checkout. At home I park my motorcycle in a separate garage when the weather is bad. I doubt I'll be able to hear the alarm from the detached garage located across the driveway to the interior of the house, but hopefully the noise from the alarm will deter thieves. Packs pretty tight when I wrap it around myself 3 times. When I need space in my saddlebags, I just hang them on my torso like a shoulder bag.
