Review on 🖨️ Epson Expression Home XP-400: Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer with Tablet/Smartphone Printing. AirPrint Compatible. by Seann Barnes

I'm an impatient guy. I expected to plug this thing in, add the MAC address to my router's MAC address filter list, and imagine Wi-Fi would work and life would be great. The WiFi connection light is on (on the printer), the printer connects to my router and gets an IP address from DHCP. It's okay, really? nope! I get various connection errors from the Epson software when trying to install the printer and print. It doesn't seem to recognize that the printer is connected and has an IP address. Tried to enter the IP manually, did not help. I have disabled all antivirus and anything else that might cause conflicts. Still does not work. I've researched online and tried a few other things but still nothing works. Others have this problem too. I am using old school WinXP SP3 fully updated with a standard Linksys abg wireless router (up to date firmware). So out of frustration (and because I have very little patience for such things) I connected it via USB. It works now but hey I paid for wifi so I feel like I'm completely ripped off. You know what I mean? I think 2 stars is generous. --------- Well it's been long enough since Epson released some driver and firmware updates. The good news is that all drivers and firmware are updated flawlessly. The bad news is that WiFi is still not working. I've tried everything I can think of and searched the internet extensively for solutions. I'm giving up and sticking with the USB connection until it's time to throw this thing away.
