The cleaning pads that came with my Shark steam mop are very thin compared to these. They did a good job but got so dirty that I couldn't clean them fully which is why I ordered them. Wow they have some weight and nbbyness! This means that they must provide a gentle cleaning action. (I already had one on my Shark when I took the photo.) Since they're heavier, I'll also wet them before I start mopping and wait for the steam to saturate them. Four of these for the price of two is a really good deal. Edit: I used pads for the first time today and they worked great. They picked up a lot more dirt than the original sharks and cleaned them better. 5 professionals with it!
