This flat iron heats up fast, curls beautifully and leaves hair soft and shiny. I like that there are many heating modes. My only complaint is please consider giving the pen a different color. I often reach for my curling iron with just peripheral vision, which isn't usually a problem since my old iron had a pink handle and a silver iron. but with this one, which has both an iron handle and a shiny black handle, I grabbed the wrong end TWICE during the wedding I was doing my hair for! I even took a quick look down the second time, but since both ends look the same, I still grabbed the wrong end :( at least I know it's going to be freaking hot
