For those of you who are having trouble getting this smart plug to work on your router, or need a Mac address to connect to your router, check the Mac filtering is enabled on your router. It might have a different name than Mac Filtering, but you need to disable it. Once unplugged, follow the instructions in the Merross app on your smartphone or iPhone to install your smart plug. Once installed (it shouldn't take long), you can navigate to the plugin in the app and get the plugin information from within the app. The Mac address will be there. You can then add the mac address to the router filter, enable mac filtering on the router, and then it takes a few minutes but you're done. It's tedious, but it works. For those using Alexa, I haven't figured out that part yet, but it still needs to be installed first using the instructions above before you can add it to your Alexa.
