I bought this bin for my new car and found that it is not available when I put it behind the passenger seat. Since I have a child seat in the middle of the back row, I squeezed a garbage can between the center seat and the center console. It will definitely stay there. The only thing I don't like about the bin is that it's difficult to get it in through the top slot. I just took the lid off and left the bin wide open so I could throw the trash out without looking. It also has a long strap with a hook at the end of which I don't know the purpose. The clips fit on the back of the seat but the long strap doesn't catch anywhere.
