Review on Petmate 315588 AKC Dog Seat Belt - Blue, Small - .75 Inches x 18-22 Inches - Enhancing Pet Safety and Restraint by Kevin Staniszewski

On November 21, 2015, my family and I were in a serious car accident. We were pulled over in a traffic jam on the interstate when we were hit from behind by a speeding car and pushed into the car in front of us. A moment later another car crashed into the one that hit us and crashed into us again. Our car was destroyed but our seat belts and airbags protected us and we sustained only minor cuts and bruises. Rory, our 20 pound border collie/rat terrier mix, sat in the back seat between my son and sister-in-law. He was wearing a Petmate 315588 AKC dog harness attached to the middle harness with a Tru-Fit Smart Harness harness loop. The harness worked perfectly and Rory was completely unharmed as confirmed by his vet when we took him in for a check up today. I'm sure Rory would have been thrown forward between the two front seats into the dash or windshield and been seriously injured or killed if he hadn't been wearing the Petmate seat belts. We are so happy we use it whenever we ride in the car with us and we are very grateful to Petmate for making it.
