I installed this 2-socket Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter a few minutes after it arrived. Compared to my old 1 to 2 output adapter, this box looks and feels a lot sturdier, has key features my old adapter didn't have, and even has a subtle blue backlight that looks really cute at night! What I like best is that the 2 cigarette lighter sockets are switchable, which is an important feature as the cigarette lighter socket in my car stays powered when the ignition is off. I've had more than one occasion where my radar detector and Bluetooth adapter drained my battery so badly that the car wouldn't start without cracking, forcing me to unplug the old adapter if I wasn't going to drive for a few days wanted to. With this device this problem is solved as I just press the switch for each adapter and the battery is no longer drained. Why didn't they think of that a long time ago? This device also has 2 USB ports for a 2.4mah charger that allows you to quickly charge your mobile phone. There's a third port for a new type of connector that I've never heard of, so I can't comment on that other than that it's not used. And the last remark. This unit pivots vertically, perfect for any vehicle with a cigarette lighter in the dash. The hinge stays in multiple positions, giving you the perfect cable arrangement. Given the relatively low price I would give it 6 stars if I could.
