First of all, it's nothing more than an adapter that accepts an m.2 form factor SSD and allows it to be used as a USB device, and it does a great job of that. The quality of the material and the fit and finish of the product are incredible. This will definitely protect the SSD that is inside from most minor to moderate damage. It's a bit inconvenient as you have to unscrew a couple of screws to remove the access panel to pull the device out and actually attach the SATA SSD to it, and those screws are very small and very easy to lose. But after you've protected your drive inside, it's just plug and play. I bought this to extract hard drive data from a tablet that just stopped working and I'll be buying a few more for future use.
