I only bought this clock radio because of one function - the radio. While I can't say the sound quality is great, it does the job. The reason I needed this radio was to give my birds a reliable way to listen to music while I'm at work (it turns out if you tell the Echo to turn the music on, it switches out long before I get home (leave my poor birds alone and they're uncomfortable!) So the quality wasn't very important to me, but it does the job. A few things have struck me - at least where I have a radio this can be a problem. Catch even the radio station which is usually strong. You need to find an "antenna" which is really just a long cable to get the best signal. I didn't use the alarm clock so I can't comment on that. It doesn't have a wheel to select radio stations, so you'll have to scroll through them with a button. The display is quite bright, but the blue light can be a bit annoying, especially from a distance.
