I bought this item to work with valve springs as I repair the engine myself at home. This serves the purpose and saves you time by allowing you to remove 2 springs at a time, but you need to apply extra force on the screw to deploy 2 springs at a time. I've also noticed that it tends to warp and flex with high pressure race/sport springs. Personally, I have no problem with this spring compressor, but I still prefer the Powerbuilt lever type (Powerbuilt 940541 Valve Spring Compressor), which works perfectly with both. and price compared to the expensive Proform compressor. It's better than a puller/jaw compressor though. Many Thanks.
