I looked at many products and reviews before deciding on this multifunction printer/scanner. I'm sick of how all home inkjet printers seem to fail right after buying new ink, and of course the models that are available after death use a different ink cartridge. I wanted a two-sided scanner to scan invoices, financial statements, and other documents. We're hoping that with this model, using a second scanner to scan both sides at once is a good solution instead of swiping the page a second time. Scanning large two-sided documents this way is much faster. The ADF scanning function is surprisingly loud, it's not funny, I just don't know why it's so loud. The scanner settings leave a lot to be desired for photos, but I mostly use them for documents. It comes with document management software that includes a PDF reader that lets you delete and insert pages so you can rescan a bad page instead. rescanning the whole document if the page is not scanned clearly the first time. A huge bonus that saves time using the scanner and extends its lifespan. In terms of printing, it wakes up quickly and prints are crisp, even with ECO mode enabled. The low cost of toner, although I haven't bought it yet, is comparable to replacing ink cartridges in an inkjet printer and is quoted at an average of 1200 pages. So much cheaper per side. Hopefully I don't have to go back and edit this review and vote against durability, but in a short time I had it built well and more reliable than previous inkjet printers I've owned. , although comparing InkJet to LaserJet isn't exactly a fair comparison.
