I recently had to change my car charger and based on my past experiences with other older models I chose this one. The charger itself was a pleasant surprise, charging faster than its regular predecessor and holding the phone better, holding it in place with more force. The charger is more resilient to larger phones than previous models, allowing my LG V60 to fit in with enough space. Another improvement is that the unlock and hold mechanism is more natural than trying to repeatedly hold the phone when it's not there. The only downside I'd like to point out is that in cold climates the heat from the charger will cause the vent to stop charging once the phone gets warm, which is far from ideal and the only reason I'm getting a star less have. Otherwise a great charger and an even better price!
