I got a cheap extension from China claiming to support 4K and USB extension without latency. In fact, however, the image is compressed, slowed down and the texts on the screen are difficult to see. The USB extension is also buggy because I don't support a USB camera and my trackball on Linux. However, this solution solved all the problems. The picture is clear, there are no lags, the trackball works, you can conduct a video conference with a USB camera right in your room. I should tackle it straight away instead of waiting a month to get the worst. A must if you have a large, heavy and noisy workspace in your home downstairs and want to work in the upstairs bedroom.
