Review on πŸ”Š Fosi Audio BT30D: Bluetooth 5.0 Stereo Audio Receiver Amplifier for Home Outdoor Speakers & Subwoofer by Heather Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seems to get the job done

Only used a few times so far but seems to live up to my expectations (I'm sure nobody expects it to be compared to a Carver amp!) . I don't notice any strange humming, hissing or distorted noises. Being able to run the subwoofer independently from the satellites is great (I like deep bass but not overpowering/booming bass). Bluetooth has to be connected manually each time by opening the phone's Bluetooth settings and selecting Fosi. IE will not automatically connect to a previously paired device. I haven't seen a way to set up a PIN to prevent accidental connections, but turning it off when not in use shouldn't be a problem. I was concerned that an accidental Bluetooth connection request might "steal" an active connection, but that's not a problem. I tried turning it up louder, after that it turned off until I turned it off. I'm assuming it's a protective measure. It wasn't very loud when it was turned off so keep your expectations reasonable and you'll be happy. One caveat - the banana plugs are quite close together, and because the banana plugs can wobble a bit, I was worried they might bump into each other and cause a short (my banana plugs exposed metal...stupid design?!). I slipped a popsicle stick between the red and black end caps to keep them from touching. Just a warning.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A few minor things
