A linux user review (VIM User)

I'm writing this review using this product. So far I can tell you that it is a great product. There is however, a one thing that really bugs me.The back lighting is absolutely horrible. It is as if they took a few white leds & just sprinkled them on the PCB. There are MAJOR hot spots that makes the product look tacky.Other than that there's nothing to complain about. The product is suuuper light. It feels very nice, smooth and matte-like. I ordered the Bluetooth version & all is great except for whatever reason it has a back plate that contains nothing in it. That isn't anything major but it's odd. The space suggests that perhaps the hardware was originally designed for a 2.4Hz receiver. Actually in all honesty that little plate comes in handy because my laptop doesn't have any bluetooth capabilities and so I use a bluetooth dongle which I can conveniently store there in the case I ever need to take it with me. Typing on it is way easier than the other Rii keyboards that I own but I still have to look at the keys when I type however, I can definitely see myself typing on this without having to look, already mastered the shift key lol.*****REVIEW AFTER USING IT FOR A FEW MONTHS*****So first off I just wanna say that I realized that Rii shipped me a version of the keyboard that doesn't have the left & right click buttons near the center of the trackpad. Instead my version has FORWARD & BACKWARDS on the left & HOME & RIGHT-CLICK-MENU on the right. Which in all honesty is fine with me since I just ended up remapping those buttons anyway. However, my major gripe is the keyboard not having a RIGHT-SIDE SHIFT button. Not having it makes capitalizing certain letters or using certain symbols awkward on my thumbs. For example, if I want to capitalize the letter Q or W I have to hold shift with my right thumb and reach all the way with my left thumb & press the letter.Another things is the missing SUPER-KEY on the left. I understand that space was limited & that it does come with a super key however its a right side super key.Now like I said I'm a linux user so I just remap the keys how I want anyway but still a little bit more effort into fitting a secondary shift key would've been amazing. I just ended up remapping the right shift as another shift lol

Pros
  • Game Handle Design: The mini wireless keyboard android is designed like a handle for game player. There are 2 round polorus on the right and left side of the keyboard. At the same time, it also looks like a really keyboard for PC or Notebook.
Cons
  • The keyboard does not have a built-in rechargeable battery and requires frequent battery replacement
