I needed a ceiling mount for my phone's camera to take videos. I wanted a floor stand so the camera wouldn't shake when I shook the table. Overall I think this will work well. Some of the soil is actually quite heavy/hard. I have 2 problems: 1. I wish it could be adjusted higher or lower. Maybe I'm missing something, but right now I can only use my "elbow" to swing up or down. I want the vertical part that rises off the ground to be able to move, but it's solid. 2. The other issue I have is the clip itself (which attaches to your phone or iPad). It completely closes the viewport on the phone so I can't even hit the record button or see if my shot got into the frame. So I switched it to my old clamp. (It took me a second to figure out that you first need to put the "screw" item onto the silver ball and then press the clip onto the silver ball until it "snaps". Then screw it in place. ) I wish that the mount came with an extra clip for the phone. Luckily I already had it.
