While circling a device with zip ties securing the wire, I inserted a four inch section of one of the protruding cut ends into my forearm, which is now a scar. I was motivated to find a tool that when you cut off the excess end of a zip tie, it cuts off flush and securely. After reading many reviews I have come to the conclusion that most of these tools have mixed feelings about how they provide a smooth/safe cut. This Tsunoda Japanese cable tie cutter has the best reviews, so I gave it a try. It is ideal for creating smooth and secure cable tie ends. I will be buying a few more as gifts for my family and friends who work with zip ties. My only criticism is how expensive it is.
