Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Enhanced AudioQuest Jitterbug Power Noise Filter for Improved Performance by Brad Atl

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Obvious improvement in SQ. No brains. buy now

Use this on my main system. Signal path from source to preamp: Roon/Qobuz -> Roon Nucleus Plus (actually an Intel NUC 7i7BNB in a great case) -> JitterBug FMJ -> Audioquest Cinnamon AC USB Cable -> Matrix Audio Mini i Pro 3 Streamer/DAC (will used as a USB DAC in my setup). It powers the Naim SuperNait 3 + HiCap DR or Line Magnetic LM512CA + LM503PA monoblocks. Both shots are very clear and refined. The AQ JitterBug FMJ replaced the iFi iSilencer+ (cheaper at $49.95, also here at Revain). Both devices bring significant sound improvements. Blacker background, finer and airier high frequencies, better sense of space. However, JitterBug raises the bar with better treble clarity, more airiness, greater sense of scale and spaciousness, more dynamic performance across the board, and better tones. It also sounds a little better integrated into its presentation. Both devices are worth buying. Period. Highly recommended if you want to connect a computer or a powerline network/WiFi adapter to your system. I gave iFi Silencer + 5 stars. I would give JitterBug 6 if I could. Huge improvement for comparable cents. Oh, and if you have a non-permissive system, don't worry about this device. It doesn't go with cheap/bad components, high quality PSU design, etc. Don't be the guy who puts a K&N filter in your Civic and then complains it's not a Corvette. This device is not suitable for this.

Pros
  • Reduces jitter and packet errors
Cons
  • Not bad but...
