It was recently recommended by Whole Dog Journal so I ordered this for my small dogs. My heart sank when I received it - it looked expensive compared to what felt like a flimsy piece of fabric in my hand. I almost sent it back without even trying it on any of the three dogs. Luckily I put it on my smallest friend. It fit perfectly and he looked very cute in it. Cute is good, but was it worth it? YUP! Now all three have one. It fits like a sweater but isn't as bulky. Because it's close-fitting, it's warmer than a sweater. As it fits close to the body like a men's undershirt, it fits well under thicker coats in winter. My dogs are much more comfortable in the cold because they keep their tummies closed and warm, which is not good for most regular coats. This works well to keep dogs mostly dry in light rain. One of my dogs is very short-legged and therefore low to the ground (something like a Corgi); Before this coat he came back from most walks with a soaked stomach. Wool comes back dry. She is very flexible and moves with the dog. I have a dog that claims he can't walk with a regular dog coat on, but he doesn't mind. My dogs are long haired and that is good for them. There can be static issues when you take it off quickly, so I just start from the back and roll it up and straighten one leg and then pull it over my head and drop the last leg. It must be amazing for a short haired dog and if you keep your house cool the short haired dog will wear it well around the house. - It is easy to clean and dry. He maintained his form for all three dogs. The colors are beautiful, saturated - we have red, blue and sea blue (greenish blue) - the images are a true representation of these colors.
