We bought a size 10 for a 9 lb Chihuahua that we just adopted (note: he has a lot of extra skin as he used to be 20 lbs) . ). The material is VERY soft but I also think it's overpriced and not as thick as another brand my 11lb terrier has (gooby medium). I bought 4 of these diapers, one double fleece one manufacturer. They are all very beautiful, stretchy, soft, easy to put on and brightly colored. We use them as lining for winter coats or as leisure sweaters. They work best under a chest harness so you don't have to deal with the lack of a leash hole, which is the only downside. The dog sweater I've always dreamed of! Finally! That thing is so perfect! My small dog is 4 pounds and obviously gets cold very easily. I want him to always have something to wear in winter, even at home. But the tons of jackets, shirts, sweaters, etc. were such a problem. They either slip or his feet get tangled or he trips over them. They're either too warm or not warm enough etc. It fits the shape (I took him a size 6 as per the size chart recommended. My Maltese (Jade) has four of these size 6 sweaters. She weighs 5 pounds, is 11 inches long and has a 13.5 inch chest diameter.
