That was a pleasant surprise. There are so many poorly made products out there that we're just taking a chance and hoping it's as good as advertised. Usually we are disappointed and they come back. This is one of those rare bargains. • It's well made and works great • The instructions are also clearly written (a plus!) • They include two extra wires/spare blades • The mechanism has a nice clear click when you press it to activate • The timer works great, so we were able to get it fairly sealed without melting the bag • The sealing strip is about 1/8 inch or about 3mm wide which is wider than what we had before so it makes a good seal • Tried 3 mil to 10 mil bags and it worked great after being adjusted at the right time • The power cord is long and very flexible but not too flimsy • Seriously, it's a pleasure to use - just superb in every sense
