It's my own fault. I read reviews and some commented that they had problems with mugs leaving coffee grounds. While this doesn't happen every time, it has happened enough times that I won't buy them again. Flavor is good, but if 1 cup out of 4 leaves the bottom of the cup, it's more trouble than it's worth. I've noticed that if I poke a few holes in the mug before I put it in, there's less chance of the grounds spilling out. But I still have it. I think part of this has to do with pressure as the water wants to flow at a certain rate and either the material of the basket is too weak or the pressure is too high and it breaks. I don't think it's a puncture as it's pretty easy to see how wide the basket is.
