It may be my imagination but I have a feeling this thing has been messing with my built in ethernet. For the first two boots after installation, Windows didn't recognize that my ethernet was connected. Maybe it was just a coincidence and it has since been resolved, but it was odd. And then it has an EXTREMELY bright blue LED for each of the 2 ports (I have an m2 with 2 ports). Which really spoils the look of my entire assembly. I'm sure I can figure out how to stick it on or something, but how bright it looks is just insane. It's also wild that there's no software to get rid of it. But overall it seems to be working as it should. It was more or less plug and play. My last cell phone only had four SATA ports and they were quickly used up. I just hooked up my oldest hard drive to this thing, so speed isn't an issue in my situation. I'm not going to promote any claimed speeds or anything with the old drive, so I didn't even do any testing. I'll definitely gravitate towards a dedicated NAS or ditch some of my data hoarding (ha!) rather than using this thing long-term. It just seems a bit finicky for my everyday use. But it was the patch I needed at the same time. Received it in an open box from Revain's warehouse and it looked unused so no complaints for the price I paid. Maybe too cool in retail. Maybe I'll find a use for it in another build, who knows! Really interesting piece of hardware that seems to do the job.
